PA Program Admissions
Arcadia’ s hybrid PA program enrolls ambitious students who are passionate about delivering high-quality, cost-effective health care to diverse patient populations. Our admissions team considers applicants holistically.
The Arcadia University Department of Medical Science has a history of success in educating compassionate and highly qualified medical professionals who are lifelong learners. We are invested in creating a diverse, learner-centered, collaborative environment.
Our Physician Assistant Programs are committed to fostering resilience in an increasingly complex and interrelated global society. We prepare our students to excel in professionalism, leadership, and service.
The Arcadia University Hybrid Physician Assistant Program offers a progressive learning experience that combines an online blended learning curriculum with in-person experiential learning that is facilitated by experienced principal faculty. This platform increases access to individuals across the country and offers a level of flexibility to those who need it. We recognize the changing landscape of medicine and prepare our students with skills that will help them to be valued stewards of the physician assistant profession for years to come.
The hybrid PA program is delivered through a blend of self-guided coursework, live online classes, and in-person clinical rotation experiences. Students in the on-campus and hybrid PA program progress through courses on the same schedule.
Live weekly classes led by Arcadia’s distinguished faculty are designed to promote collaboration and discussion in real time.
Self-guided coursework that’s accessible from your tablet and computer enables you to plan your assignments and cover material at your own pace.
Clinical rotations allow you to learn from respected health care practitioners and interact with patients in your own community.
Dedicated student supportfrom our teams—admissions, student success, and technical support—is available at every phase of the program.
Our faculty are nationally recognized and respected clinicians and educators who take their responsibility of shaping the next generation of health care providers seriously. They are highly accomplished, having been published in peer-reviewed journals and receiving awards for teaching and service.
Preparing students to succeed in their own careers is a top priority that motivates faculty both in and outside of the online classroom. Our faculty support PA students by:
Facilitating meaningful interactions inside of the classroom and one-on-one as needed
Working alongside them during immersions to reinforce collaboration skills
Modeling essential skills for effective patient care, empowering students to treat patients with respect and dignity
The Arcadia University Hybrid Physician Assistant Program has applied for Accreditation – Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). The Arcadia University Hybrid Physician Assistant Program anticipates matriculating its first class in August 2022, pending achieving Accreditation – Provisional status at the March 2022 ARC-PA meeting. Accreditation – Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding accreditation-provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first cohort of students.
