About the College of Health Sciences

Arcadia University’s College of Health Sciences upholds a long tradition of innovation and excellence in education that dates back to the university’s founding in 1853. Home to three departments—Physical Therapy, Medical Science, and Public Health—the College is dedicated to expanding the science of health through the promotion of knowledge, discovery of new ideas, and delivery of care beyond traditional or geographic boundaries.

We are committed to the advancement of the health and well-being of humanity. Our goal is to educate the next generation of health care providers, preparing them for careers as clinicians, researchers, and professional leaders.

High-Quality Education

By using evidence-based practice and project-based learning to promote knowledge and discover new ideas, we prepare students for success in today’s rapidly changing health care profession. Each of our programs has received the highest accreditation possible.

Integrated Experiential Learning

Our university-wide commitment to global exploration and experiential learning enables students to broaden their perspectives and integrate classroom learning with the outside world. In the College of Health Sciences, our students participate in clinical rotations, fieldwork, on-campus immersions, and more to hone their skills and prepare for a lifelong career.

Service to
Humanity

Working in service to others to improve societal and individual health lies at the core of the health care profession. Students in our programs have the opportunity to complete service learning experiences locally and internationally to give back to communities.

Our Mission

The College of Health Sciences is committed to the advancement of the health and well-being of humanity. We are committed to the ideals of the Arcadia promise, a distinctively global, integrative, and personal education focused on expanding the science of health through the promotion of knowledge, discovery of new ideas, and delivery of care beyond the traditional or geographic boundaries.
